Remove and Install Your Bike Chain

Using the Runaway Bike HOT TUB is the absolute best lubricant that you can buy for your bike chain.  You will need to remove your chain to perform the treatment, however.

Never done that before?  Fear not.  It's not as hard as you may think...  and it's a great project to start doing your own bike maintenance.  Check out this YouTube video on how to do it.

Or... you may be lucky and actually have a "Master Link" or "Power Link" on your chain...  in which case you don't even need any tools.  Take a look:

    Hey, Spinner.
Thanks for the question. We actually seem to have a great following from recumbent riders, so can tell you honestly that you will be just fine using the HOT TUB as-is. I’m not certain if a “tad pole trike” is different than traditional recumbents… but if it is merely additional length of chain, you should be fine… worst-case, you’ll just need to swirl/agitate the liquefied lubricants a bit more to completely coat your longer chain. The end result that you want is simply a fine wax “glaze” on the chain and not a thick coating, so each tub should have more than enough lubricant even with the extra amount that you need to coat.

If you do order from us and find that it doesn’t work for some reason, we’d be happy to work with you and provide a tub with a little extra product in the jar to make sure you get a full coating. Just let us know what we can do to help!

    thanks again.

I ride a recumbent tad pole trike (almost 12’ of chain). will your “HOT TUB” product work for my chain?
what kind of modifications will roughly 2 1/2 chains need?
